Mack
Hey all, here are my plans for a longrod motor using the stock block that we find in every 280ZX. L24 crank throw @ 73.7mm 140MM deisel rods (beefy and strong) Z31 pistons (pin height of 31.75mm, 2mm overbore) 140 + 31.75 + 73.7/2 = 208.57mm bore the block out to 89mm, as per usual, and you would end up having to mill the 300zx piston only .7mm to acheive a zero deck height! with this combo rod/stroke ratio would be damn near 1.9 to 1 (1.89959 to be exact) Also ,you would not lose any displacement with this motor, as it would be 2751CC's roughly, and think of the turbo potetnial and the revability of this engine anyone out there have a 240 crank and a set of deisel rods they wanna get rid or? let me know what you think McAdam
Guest Anonymous
What kind of a difference in revs would this make? I dont know what the stock 280 motor is in terms of all of that stuff up there.
