Guest Anonymous
Once I recover from (gasp) Christmas, I'm installing the Starion intercooler on my mostely stock 81zxt with 140,000 miles on it. The car still has the stock 3 speed auto, 3:54 rear end. It runs an '83 turbo distributor and a 3" cat back with super turbo muffler. I'm considering installing a throttole body from a 240sx complete with cable throttle and an aluminum fuel rail. The plan is to shield the fuel rail with polished stainless sheet (I work for a metal distributor) to eliminate some fuel system heating. To the point-the car is my everyday driver and runs very well. What benefit, if any, will I see by adding the throttle body? Will it change driveability of the car? Guest Anonymous
I've read that the throttle body is supposedly good for 0.3 on the 1/4 mi... But I don't know much about the L motors. If you're interested I can sell you one, its it good shape, comes with the TPS for $65+shipping. Just let me know before Monday, as I will be leaving the country for a couple months then
