Brendan280z Posted June 5, 2013 Share Posted June 5, 2013 Hello all, I replaced the clutch master and slave cylinder's on my 1977 280z and bled the system, the clutch fork moves about 1/2 of an inch however the clutch does not engage at all. WRC17 Posted June 5, 2013 Share Posted June 5, 2013 I had this exact problem a month or so ago and there were two things I did to fix it. First, if you just gravity bled the system it won't work. I gravity bled the clutch line for almost an hour with no success, but 5 minutes with a pressure bleeder and it was great. Also, the arm on the master cylinder I bought was shorter than the stock one I took off the car, so there wasn't enough pedal travel to build up pressure (I learned to be careful about what parts you buy from a parts store). If you can adjust the clutch pedal out further it will give you more pressure in the line. Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
