Guest Anonymous
I once scrimped on a simple rebuild kit and used something like a brand named Repco which lasted about 20,000 miles before it all started disintergrating. Datsun/Nissan is great merchandise. I would imagine you could use name brand gaskets and rings and bearings that are popular with high performance applications. In the last two simple datsun rebuilds I used clevite 77 bearings and good old Hastings rings with no complaints yet.As for head gaskets////do not scrimp here Datsun or Fel Pro or ???. Some one should come along with more high performance knowledge than me. A high quality gasket is needed sandwiched precariously between that aluminum head and cast iron block to referee that battle between those two opposing forces..!!
