Guest Anonymous
Hey guys, I havea 1983 280zx n.a. with a blaster 2 coil from MSD, new wires, new plugs, new cap and rotor. I have a distributor out of a '82 280zx that i can put in it. My problem though is that the intake is backfiring... a friend of mine helped me check the timing and it seems to be off by like 10-15 degrees... we turned the tps and distributor every way we could but couldnt get the marks to line up. We then switched the wires over one in a clockwise and counter-clockwise and it wouldnt start... So do I need to change the timing belt and tensioner? or is there some way to manually adjust the timing to get it on the mark????? thanx for yalls help
Guest bang847
be careful when you play with the wires like that you could pop a ring!! check your vacuum lines to the dizzy... and make sure that vacuum advance isnt leaking.
