roger280zx
Why not fab a plenum from aluminum and bring it to a competent tig welder? I know lots of guys who love to weld but hate to make stuff fit, I have had great success trading time with them. I can run a grinder with my eyes closed. Metro
Why not weld up a plenum out of .035" stainless sheet? You can weld that with your welder. My first thought was that would be really thin, but then I looked at some aluminum IC tubing and it's only about twice that thickness. I suppose the next problem would be the shape and how well it could hold pressure. I really would like to make a dual plenum intake. It just seems like it's the right way to go with ITBs. I can run a grinder with my eyes closed. If everything else doesn't work out, this is probably what I will be doing. I live in an area that's produced thousands of aluminum jet sleds, so finding a competent welder shouldn't be a problem. Although, half the fun is doing everything for myself.
