Guest Anonymous
Hey I have what I am pretty sure is a set of L24 rods with 9mm rod bolts. They came out of a '73 engine, so I am pretty sure they are the correct type, however, I need to make absolutely sure as I want to sell them, but do not want to end up ripping somebody off... When I look at the rod bolt, it is 9mm diameter toward the bolt end, then about an inch farther sharply tapers to 8mm and is threaded with an 8m (?) thread for the nut.... Does this sound like the 9mm bolt? The whole tapered thing throws me off, because it is only 9mm for the first inch or so. Anyone who knows their way around the inside of an L-series care to help me out? Do I have the correct rods? Thanks guys...
DAW
The 8mm bolts use a 13mm nut, and the 9mm bolts, a 14mm nut. If you can put a 13mm socket on the nut it's an 8mm. DAW
