Guest bastaad525
Okay... it seems I've finally really gotten my car 'dialed in'... Finally got the carbs solved, mixtures seem just right, the car feels great. Now I'm wondering, what's the best way to launch? Should I slip the clutch to get rolling or just dump the clutch? What RPMS should I hold the throttle at before starting to let the clutch out? I'm running on just regular early ZX size street tires. The car is a '72 with built up N/A engine, running SU's with SM needles, into a ACT 6 puck clutch and lightened flywheel, thru an '80 ZX 5 speed and a 3.9 rear. Of you guys that have gone to the track what type of launch gets you the best times?
