Guest eric-z Posted December 15, 2002 Share Posted December 15, 2002 I have a '81 280zx NA and the FI system isn't really in the best shape. my brother has an extra 260z parts car sitting in my backyard and he said I could use anything I need off of it because he is pretty much done with it. I was thinking about taking off the e88 head and get the larger intake valves and maybe a port and polish(I did some odd jobs for a local cylinder head shop and I heard they would give me a deal). that would give me a cr of about 10.1:1 with a 1mm hks head gasket or felpro. then put that on my 280zx with exhaust header+larger pipes and a nice carb set up(maybe triples). I read that you have to do additional work on the head to allow for FI. so pretty much what I am asking is what are the pros/cons of doing something like this? if I was going to get a head worked on should I stick with the p79?
