I'm interested in analyzing the L6 crank as my fracture & fatigue course term paper... and one that is in 2 pieces would add a nice touch to my presentation and analysis... Guest Anonymous Posted January 15, 2003 Share Posted January 15, 2003 I my self have never seen a busted L6 crank seen the rod let go and the crank hit the rod but a busted crank no I HAVE seen the ZX balancer blow up and take chunks of the crank with it at the key way i do know 2 guys i can ask but maby you should ask Norm? or try a Chevy crank? i can send you some cool chevy cranks in small pices good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Honestly, I want to keep them as souvenirs as I am the only person I know of personally that has broken cranks!! Oh just so you know both times I drove the car home 50 miles with the cranks split totally in two!!Talk about NOT SO GOOD VIRBRATIONS!!!
