Guest empracing
raised runner on the valve side just promotes airflow to it so the valves can operate normally at low rpm because it does not open and close uniformly at low rpm...this is why i dont like the p90a head...mechanical p90s are okay.... huh? who said you'de keep the origanl cam when chaceing power ?they spent a fortune raising ports on other motors and rolling and wedging you trying to tell me it was a waste of time? strait line airpath to valve = power in my book only when it sacrifices velocity is it a problem
TimZ
strait line airpath to valve = power in my book only when it sacrifices velocity is it a problem I believe that this was the point I was trying to make. The P90 has less of a stright line path to the valve than the N42. As far as I can tell they didn't raise the ports - only the valves. Guest empracing
now your really freeking me out what p90 have you got cos mines DEFINATLY got a cleaner path for the outside world to the chamber and the hump is all but abolished raising the valve would do this and also change the chamber ill have to really compare the two heads next time there both off the motors one day we will get this settled however for now ill just say that I "prefer" the 90 but "have" a 42 on my motor go figure.... now that i think about it i have 2 42/54 motors and a pile of 90 parts splattered all over my workbench whats the better set up?
