Curious to talk to anyone who has succesfully completed a Chrysler 340 swap into a first generation Z. I have most parts needed to complete the Chev 350 swap but am having doubts whether I will be as satisifed with the results of the swap as much as I would be with the 340 chrysler. I would be interested to talk to someone in regards to the wiring, and hardware configurations.

thanks

I just asked my bud who is a dodge nut and the wiring for the ignition is as easy as a chev. The starter and such is the same as any other. Got any other ? let me know and I will forward. Excellent choice 340 or a 360. 360 is my favorite and is easy to find. My old duster ate TA's and ran as sweet as my bud's 340 dart.

Well actually I was wondering also what rear end to use.. or can the datsun rear end handle that type of power? I've always wondered... looking at it I wouldn't think so, but am I wrong?

The diff. in my V8 260 is out of an early model 280. It is heavier and physically larger so it has held up good. I have not launched it with stickys on the back so never say never.
