Guest Anonymous
Does anyone know off hand what the drag co-effecient is on a Zcar? (240 in this case, but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure). Lone
Drax240z
I think its a very disgusting 0.44Cd. ------------------ "Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire, Gimme that which I desire" -Metallica Drax240z 1972 240z - L28TURBO transplant on the way! http://members.xoom.com/r_lewis/datsun.html

Guest Anonymous
How much would those headlight covers help? It seems like those dips for the lights would cause problems with the drag coefficient. ~Brian
Drax240z
I figure at best they'll lower it to .43. Yes really. Look at "Aerodynamic data for 240Z needed & cooling idea " in the high tech forum, there is a good discussion there as to why the Z aerodynamics are so poor. ------------------ "Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire, Gimme that which I desire" -Metallica Drax240z 1972 240z - L28TURBO transplant on the way! http://members.xoom.com/r_lewis/datsun.html [This message has been edited by Drax240z (edited November 04, 2000).]
BLKMGK
I think if you search further you'll also find a post where someone found the light covers to be worth something like 2mph on a straightaway at some track. They've got to be doing something to give an extra 2mph. A shame the Z is so poor in the aero dept...
