Just found a nice little kit similar to the LED fuel ratio meters. . Except this one has a digital readout and a dot bar graph. That looks really good Simon, please let us know how it looks and works when you get yours. I think for that price I may just take the gamble anyway, it looks a lot nicer to use than the LED ones.

Guys, for that price there's no way it's using a wide band O2 sensor. In order to get good readings in a numerical format you need to have a wide band O2. Regular O2 sensors are NOT linear and they're weighted for emissions not for performance.

 

Check this site out - they modify other people's gauges in order to make them most sensitive in the range that we'll want for performance. This is STILL not the ideal solution but it's better than nothing - as is th egauge you're looking at.

Received my kit the day after I ordered it! It is very complete comes with 2 boards and all the components necessary as well as fairly clear instructions for buiding.

some of the features are:

3 number LED readout plus 7 LED bargraph readout; dot or bar mode option for bargraph, 13 indication levels in dot mode, 7 levels in bar mode; reads between 11.8:1 and 20.6:1 for petrol below or above this it reads "L" for lean or "R" for rich; 220ms update time on bargraph, 440ms for 3 number readout; automatic display dimming at night; 0 - 1V display for setting up and adjustments. It also works for LPG or propane.

One should remember with this sort of thing that its only a rough guide. ..I'll be using it to put my first rough fuel maps in to get my car to run before I take it to a dyno to get it done right. While at the dyno, I'll calibrate this unit to the dyno.
