Guest Anonymous
Pretty good looking motor! I know this has been talk about a lot as a possible swap motor. I'd be curious as to what tranny will match up. Anyway, here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1875980136&category=33615 Enjoy! Twydog '71 240z skewered and spinning on the rack!
Guest jens
You should look for the rover 4.0-4.6 with crossdrilled block instead they are much stronger. The buick 215 has less rwhp than the L28 and has probably a corrosion problem because its old.
Guest Anonymous
Egads...a rover engine? Sure it's light, but keep in mind the multitude of problems with those engines. I am an aircraft mechanic by training, working at a Land Rover dealership as a tech. Biggest problem is head gaskets, they are prone to leakage (oil and coolant). We also see quite a few engines needing head jobs before 50,000 miles. Some as early as 20,000. I feel bad for bringing judgement into question, so I am sorry. But do be aware that they are of an old design and have there limitations. If someone did want to go down the rover road however I would look into the Calloway tuned version...yes that is Calloway as in Calloway corvette. I could get part #'s or general info if desired.
