Speedometer cable gear o-ring replacement

So outer one no problem. The inside one is quite hard and I'm assuming the reason for my leak. Do I just cut it out with an exacto knife?

 

Anyone find a source other than MSA? Just hate waiting on shipping.

eBay has replacement ones for about $10 that includes the outter seal too. You may be able to source them from the dealer. To get the seal out its pretty simple. Drive the roll pin out and remove the shaft, remove the felt dust seal (if it's still there) then use a dental pick to dig the old one out. It's a strange size my local parts store didn't have.

Thanks yeah I got the roll pin out and gear slid out. No dust shield. I think MSA was cheaper.

The dealer might still have them. Use a dental pick type of tool to get the old o-ring out.
