Guest Anonymous
hey guys, sorry it has been a while but I had some computer problems and then I had to take care of some stuff since I am about to DEP into the navy. pretty cool stuff actually. I managed to score a 80 out of 99 on the ASVAB test so I qualify to go into the intelligence field. my friend seems to think this is hilarious, keeps mumbling something about oxymorons Ijust tell him that i'm going to get to play with the REALLY cool toys hehe. but anyways on to my thread. i have decided i want to do the 3X2 carb setupp on my motor and i was wondering what the best two barrel carb would be to run? SU,weber, holley, edelbrock, etc.. the motor i will put this on is a mopar 360 small block. speaking of I still cant get over the fact that I finally managed to find a 360 in this town yippee! ------------------ how was I to know that it would do that!..heh..cool...do it again! Guest JAMIE T
You should be able to track down, a factory "6 Pack" manifold for that 360. 360's never came with the 6 pack, but the manifold from a 340 will work. I would run the Holley's, as these are very easy to tune, and its been done plenty of times, heck you could get the linkage and fuel lines from a restoration place and be good to go. Good luck, I like to see people doing different thing, I'm going to install a Northstar Cadillac in mine. Jamie
Guest Anonymous
thanks for the advice, i appreciate it. i thin i have read a lot of the/your posts on doing the n* swap and i have to say that i think it will rock once you get the bugs all kinked out. from the looks of it you should be able to get some serious power out of that kind of motor! but on the six pack thing i was thinking the same thing but i was just wondering if a set of SU's or maybe some high performance mikuni's would be better than holley since those brands tend to specialize in two barrel carbs? and seem to be a better product? ------------------ how was I to know that it would do that!..heh..cool...do it again!
