Guest Anonymous
Just dropped by to alert all, that due to an IZCC discussion thread on nitrous oxide setups recently, I have posted 2 illustrated photos of Mark Owen's V8 NOS setup in his "Red Stomper" 240Z. (btw, this car has just gone up for sale, $27,000. asking) Graphic arrows have been drawn to key parts of the setup that relate to brief text write-ups on the page. Hopefully the the the 2 photos there will be aid to some of you in the forums later on when the subject may come up again. Find links to photos at ZP Tech Section Please let me know if you find these kind of illustrated photos helpful to your discussions at Hybridz. Several other general tech articles have been added this past week as well. If you see errors on the pages or want to add comments to what is already there please send them to me at zparts@jps.net Eric Neyerlin of Z PARTS

DavyZ
Yes, Eric, it's always helpful to us to see some good work, good fabrication, and new ideas. Thanks for posting! David
Guest Anonymous
Kevin & David, Yep those brakes are nice. Shot 'um at the West Coast Nationals last year. A long time customer of mine just stopped by last week to show me the new 17"x8" wheels on his 240Z that he scored out of Japan. I was amazed to see that everything fit perfectly under his stock fenders. Looking over the unfinished car, I notcied that he had the full nine yards of advanced brake conversion swaps on his car so I asked him to come back for me to photo document everything. I think he had Toyota 4 calipers on the front and 300ZX units on the rear. When time allows, I get several of the best photos of the wheels, tri-carb'ed 3.1 liter Rebello engine and custom silver faced gauges up on my site in for others to study. Although, not gleaming new, the guy even had BMW leather seats custom fit into the car. Catch ya'all later, Eric Neyerlin As a little experiment to see if I can make an image display at HybridZ here's an interesting car to look at that I will be featuring later on. Can you ID the car? It has several very unique features, especially one that is concealed in this view.
Dan Juday
Very nice work Eric, both yours and his. BTW, cleaned up the hood and set it in place when I got home. The vents sit right over top of the headers, incredable! What was Nissan thinking?
DavyZ
This was the very nice black Z I saw at the Palo Alto Show & Shine. It has a great smoothed body and an expensive mural under the hood (I wouldn't have put $3000 toward a surrealistic female air-brushed mural, but that's my preference--I noticed "she" was blond, like his wife perhaps...just a thought). The engine is yellow and has many polished parts. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner, but I could tell he is very proud of his car! Guest Anonymous
Dan & Dave Dan, thanks much for the compliments. Those were very clean vents on that hood I sold you. Take good care of them. DaveZ- "Bingo" that's the car , but I photographed it back in October 2000 long before the Show N Shine. It is owned by Jim Darnell. The "El Zorro" car as I shall call it for now, is a pretty unumual Z. Tons of beautiful body, paint and custom add-ons, but with a few mixed design cues as well. The brief, curious, story behind my involvement with the car is as follows: At a kit car show last year I met a retired Italian body man that that was showing a very wild creation made out of a Jag E Type. (see 2 pics at Sarra custom Jag ) He mentioned to me that he was once involved in customizing a Z car body. Intrigued, I followed up with a call to him later and asked if I could see and perhaps photograph the car in question. Here I must note, that after the Las Vegas Z convention, I received several inquiries from my web site fans asking whether I had photos of a black Z car that made a stir at the convention with a wild looking and unconventional "Goddess" mural painted underneath it's hood. "Sorry, but I don't" was my reply. So anyway, this body guy, Sarra, alerted the owner of the custom Z that he originally did the body work on, and the owner contacted me about photographing his car a few days later. Guess what, he was the owner of the "Goddess Mural" car! I did one shoot, but found that I was unable to capture some of the car's best features in my first try. Sports Z Magazine is interested to showcase a photo from that shoot, but I have suggested that we hold off until I can take a few more "knock your lights out" type of shots to introduce this unusual car. Usually I do not release preview shots of unpublished work, but hey, what's a nice photo among friends matter from time to time? Here's the Goddess in person: Foot Note: Oh, and guys, I don't have time to run all over HybridZ alerting everyone to some of this cool stuff we are discussing in this thread, but if any of you are hob nobbing around the Hybrid site and want to mention this interesting thread to others to come and check out, I 'd appreciate it. Seem like some others in the other forums might like to check out both Mark Owen's NOS set up as well as the "El Zorro" Goddess car. Thanks much, Eric
BLKMGK
Ah, very nice pics of the NOS! While it'll be awhile before I hook up a bottle (I think) some of those pics gave me some very good shots for things like throttle linkage - he's using the same Lokar cable I am - sweet! Very nice engine and darned clean too - I wish mine would come out that well. Some good ideas for running fuel lines as well, thanks for sharing.
