Guest Tom Scala
Does anyone happen to know which pin on a stock 78 ECU wire harness is the power lead? I was thinking of using it to run the SDS ECU. I am also thinking of using the factory relay & power lead for the ballast resistor to run my injector harness. Has anyone done it this way or is there a circuit in the fuse box that is hot in start & run on a 78? They all seem to be either battery or accesory circuits & not hot with the key in the start position. Thanks.
Scottie-GNZ
Tom, Cannot tell you which lead you need in a 78, but when I did mine, I just got out the old test light and tested every circuit until I found one that was hot while cranking. I then tapped into that wire and used it to trigger relays which had all new hot leads off the alternator for the ECM, injector driver and coilpack.
