R0N
I've read that the 1975 Mercedes 450SEL 420C Stock Injectors can be use on the ZT cars... see link http://z31.com/jwt.shtml Well I found this on ebay brand new Bosch Injectors but it list that it's for the 76-80 450SEL. Does anyone know if this will be a direct drop in? BTW there selling for $18 a piece and he has a lot of them in stock, here's the link.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=595712151&r=0&t=0 -R [ September 23, 2001: Message edited by: R0N ]
Guest jens
As far as i know is the 450 born with mecanical k-jetronic and a z is electric so it cant be done. How about volvo 740 b23et injectors or bmw 745 turbo. A chipped non cat volvo delivers 240 hp on 98 octane = 240/4*6 = 360 hp with 6 injectors. The bmw 745 3.5 6 can deliver 350-400 hp then the injectors are tweaked to its maximum. Others have used ford turbo injectors.
Guest Tom Scala
I'm using the '75 450Mercedes injectors in my 78zt now. They are rated at 420cc and are the same injectors Wolf sells in his Sport packages at an insane markup. They are low impedance like the stockers and fit the stock fuel rail and injector holders too. I got mine at CarParts.com. Check the application guide there and see if they are the same part no. between 75-76,I believe they are. $18 a piece is a great deal if they are new. R0N
Unfortunately the 75 injectors are different from the 76... Here's the 75, looks just like the nissan injectors. Here's the 76 I got the pictures and looked it up at partsamerica.com.
Arif
As far as the horsepower ratings for the Mercedes and other injectors at http://www.sdsefi.com/techffhp.htm Does anyone know if these quoted hp ratings are rwhp or flywheel? R0N
Thanks Tom, I knew they were a direct drop in. I just have to check the application guide to make sure there the same. I assume your using a SDS Computer or 300ZX?

Scottie-GNZ
How is this for responsiveness? Also pleasing to know that some of our key vendors actually visit and monitor out site. Hi Scottie, I read this forum a bit. Don't have time to jump throought he hoops to login. The hp is our injector sizing chart is engine HP. We don't care what the drivetrain losses are as these are irrelevant when sizing injectors. Secondly, the 0 280 150 036 and 028 injectors fit Mercedes and Volvo. They are D-Jetronic which is an analog EFI system and have blue tops. They are interchangable with L28 injectors except that they will not accept the L-Jet electrical connectors. We can supply injector harnesses with the D-Jet plugs installed when systems are ordered. The flow rate on our bench is 480cc/min. at 38 psi. We have seen a few BW remans that are not great. If you can actually get genuine, new Bosch 036s for $18, buy them. Cheers, Ross

Scottie-GNZ
The bottom injector in the picture is definitely a Bosch mehanical EFI injector. I sent an email off to SDS for an answer on their table.
