Will speeding up the advance get me on my powerband earlier?

Hey guys here's the thing:

10 degrees initial timing. 30 degrees total @ 3K rpm.

Powerband kicks in at 4K and will go to over 6K (I'm chicken still and shift at 6K but it seems early)

Some specs:

B303 Ford camshaft .480 lift/224 duration @ .050.

9.0 compression

Edelbrock RPM performer single plane.

Accel disti with 24 degrees total mech advance built in/ adjustable vaccuum advance (which is how I'd adjust the curve I think)

Anyway, it seems like the powerband should be lower. The motor has good torque up to 4K but I think it could get there faster. With the engine specs am I wrong?

Thanks

Jon
