Guest Anonymous
Terry, Just wanted to publically say thanks for helping with that ignition problem on the ranchero. We bumped the timing to 20 deg initial on that 302 crate with no vacuum advance, no ping, no hard start and tire smoke galore. It woke it up REAL good. I drove it today, first gear rolling, nailing it just smokes the tires, a quick shift to second and the fun continues with as much rubber as you want to lay. He has some narrow ass tires on there now that will soon be history, perhaps something meatier next time. But at any rate, thanks for the suggestion, the SBF really likes that spark lead (and on this particular aluminum head motor doesn't seem to be hard starting like my SBC when I advance the timing that much.).
