Guest TAlchemist
ok i got some problems with the stock ignition system. due to age and a rat the stock wires from the harness to the coil, the resistor, the ac something or other, the bcdd, and water thing have all been cut and missing. i got a big blue, small blue, black and white, yellow < water thing >, small black, small black. anyone have any idea. the wiring diagram in the hayness manual shows like 4 connections at the resistor. i am confused. i think the bcdd and water sensors are correct. i need to know which one goes to coil +, to coil -, to resistor both sides, and how the resistor connects to the coil +
Guest TAlchemist
oops i forgot to add the car is a 1978 280z, all stock with a fresh engine rebuild. i am having no start. the engine turns over, the lights work, the brake lights are stuck on?, and it is a new battery that i keep charged with an external charger. i tested the coil the way i currently have it wired and it gets a single spark < real nice > but i have to turn the key off and to ign again to get another one.
