Guest JAMIE T
Hey guys, I was just thinking, why not just get a BOP Lakewood blowproof bellhousing and a Richmond Street 5 speed, or a Richmond 6 speed for those with that kind of green? I mean come on, It doesn't have to be an OEM transmission does it?

randy 77zt
or even a world class t5 from summit-$1000 bucks is cheap for new trans.the mustang guys drag race their heavy cars with these -should work in z.
BLKMGK
Do bear in mind that those WC transmissions used for the big guys are rarely right off the shelf in those apps and that they DO break. My friend's shop gets them in fairly regulerly from STREET driven Mustangs. The lighter weight WILL help IMO but I don't know how much. Scottie-GNZ
If you plan to drag race the car or slam gears hard, the WC T-5 will be suspect. Remember that a Buick Turbo6 with an upgraded turbo running high boost is pumping out 450-500 lb/ft of torque at very low RPMs. ------------------ Scottie 71 240GN-Z Scottie's GNZ
