Guest AlamedaZ
I am considering putting a Pontiac 3.8L supercharged engine in my 73 240. My biggest conserns are the weight difference and the fit of the supercharger. Has anone here tried this combo? Any Suggestions
Scottie-GNZ
Not sure about the exact weight, but with some serious searching on the web you should be able to find it. I would say even if the worse case was that the weight is equal to the L6, the short V-6 should end up behind the front wheels for an improvement in weight distribution. Look at the position of the L6. There is almost 2 cyls ahead of the front wheels. Oh yeah. Welcome aboard!
Guest Anonymous
I've seen 2 3.8s in Z cars before and as Scotty said they position the weight better than the original 6. The weight of the supercharger will not hurt the handling of the car at all, just look at all of the V8 cars out there.
