Guest Kenzman9076
engine purrs and runs great, but... the Gtech tells me its only putting out about 150WHP... its out of a 92gts-t so it should have 215 at the fly, plus i have a k&n and a 2.5pipe from the headers back.. any ideas on why im not getting the power i should? thanks, Ken
ZR8ED
What about the weight factor? The G tech needs you to put in the weight of your car. Did you get it weighed correctly as tested? Estimating the weight will only get you an idea. Also the calculation the G tech uses to get that HP # makes a lot of assumptions. ie that your car/driveline/suspension/gearing/tires are optimally set up. Another thing to note is to remmember that that # is "road hp" if you use a common driveline loss value of 30%, that will net you 195 at the flywheel.. That gets you much closer.. considering all the assumptions made...
Guest Dan0myte
Did you do a compression test before you put the engine in?
Guest 250z
if it's 215hp at the fly wheel (should be more with the k&n + exhaust) and 150 at the wheels you have lost 25% through the drive train, which is normal for a old RWD car
Guest Dan0myte
There was a 190hp version used in the R32 I believe too.
