Looking for a ZX in Austin

Greetings everyone!  I'm not REALLY a new member, I was an active member here long long ago in the early 2000s, i wanna say roughly 2000-2004.  I owned a 1981 280ZX that threw the main crank pulley and roached the motor, so I did the only reasonable thing and replaced it with a fuel injected 350 and a 5 speed out of a camaro.   I terrorized the streets of austin for a bit with it, surprising the crap out of people at red lights when I revved it before I was enamored of another car and lost my gotdamn mind and sold two cars to buy an SRT-4 (the other was a miata, it was great being young with no kids).  I know, I know, I sold my soul for a crappy Neon.  It was a fast Neon, ok?  Especially after I added nitrous to it.

Anyway, I've always kinda regretted that decision and I've never owned another right wheel drive car since that was worth a damn, so I'm trying to find my old Z again.  I have no idea if this is going to work 15 or so years later, but I have to try anyway.  I sold it to TheDJ (I think?) also from this board, so I hope that doubles my chances of hearing from it again.  I built this car with years of my life and lots of blood and sweat, and very little money.  I was young and in that part of my life where every penny counted dearly, but I had lots of free time.  Texas is hot, so I'd stay up until 2-3am working in my garage, rebuilding the engine on a tire because I couldn't afford an engine stand.  Going to the 24 hour autozone at 2 am to buy rings (no, the bearings are fine) for .030 over 350 is an experience everyone needs to have at least once.

At this point, I'm sure its been repainted and probably a different color.  It was metal flake blue when I sold it with a blue and silver interior (Cowboys, BABY!) but I think the only thing unique to this car is a bit of crumpled subframe in the front on the driver's side in front of the front wheels.  While technically frame damage, a couple of washers behind the bumper mount realigned everything perfectly and this is the only way I know of to ID this car in particular.

Does anyone here know anything about this car or its current whereabouts?  I know this is the longest of long shots but I've been wanting to do this for a while, and every day I wait makes it that much more unlikely I will ever find it again.  And to top it all off, I don't even remember my own screen name from back then to look up my posts, if you even archive them that long!

Thanks all, god bless and good luck with your projects!
