I have been planning a V8 Z project for a long time. Today I took a ride in a nasty 280Z turbo and I was very impressed with the performance. I would like to know more about turbos on the Z car. I just want a good daily driver thats still respectable on the steet.300 hp would be plenty for me. What is the common setup for this, block, heads, carbs, turbo, inner cooler, and the rest of the package? As you can tell not real hip on the Tokio Turbo scene. Oh-yea how does the system work.... I know that it forces air into the motor to make power but give me some details. Thanks

Check out my page at:

The system basically works by using a turbine, driven by the exhaust gasses to compress the intake air. You basically have a shaft with 2 impellors on it, one side has exhaust gas being forced past it, which spins the shaft, and the other side sucks air into the engine under pressure.

Do some reading, and keep asking questions. smile.gif
