Just so happens that T5s are used on camaros, mustangs, trucks, and everything else you can think of. randy 77zt Posted February 14, 2001 Share Posted February 14, 2001 a mustang shifter will work on nissan t5.some day i am going to bolt a world class mustang t5 to a zxt bellhousing to see what needs to be used to make it work.probably a mustang clutc disc under a nissan 240mm pressure plate with the correct pilot bearing.i have a 85 300zxt t5 in garage for sale but i need a l28et bellhousing .the ratio spreads on nissan t5 arent good for road race tracks.i use a 82 zx na trans right now-it works good but i dont drag race. Guest Anonymous Posted February 14, 2001 Share Posted February 14, 2001 hey, here is a good question, i heard that in the 280zxt cam ewith a ford trans (to handle the torque). it just so happens i have a t-5, would it work, and could i modify it to fit my (soon to have) 280zxt motor? let me know, plus which trans is most commonly used with the 280zxt motor. Nic oh yeah, what do u guys think of the company at www.raceeng.com, are there parts good as well as the prices (in refrence to the pistons, rings, and rods)?
