randy 77zt
got a new 60-1 turbo form a sand rail supply house.the turbine housing doesnt have a waste gate.i was thinking of building a spacer between turbo & exhaust manifold for a external(turbonetics style) waste gate instead of welding on exhaust manifold.or should i get a waste gate turbine housing ? clint78z
60-1 you will definately want an external wastegate . TimZ had the cleanest install I have seen with minimum hassle, as well as optimal performance . Search those archives, he gives all the details . Make sure to verify the A/R ratio on that monsta turbo . You may want to step down to mabey a .63 or mabey even .42 ratio . A little known fact is with a big external wastegate you can have a lower A/R ratio than normal to get turbo spooled up quickly, then dump the extra gas without a big pressure drop at high rpm and load .
