Guest Tom Scala
I've noticed a trend on some cars to have the IC pipe from the cooler to the throttle body be slightly larger than the one from the turbo to the IC. Wouldn't you want the opposite setup? When the air comes out of the IC it is cooled and more dense taking up less volume than when it went into the IC. The smaller pipe would also help keep the velocity of the air up. I remember seeing a test done on tailpipes that showed very little if any performance loss going from 3" to 2.25" pipe size after the mufflers on a 400+ HP V8. The theory was as the gasses traveled through the pipe they cooled and condensed to the point the smaller pipe was adequate. Any thoughts?
