v8dats Posted July 4, 2001 Share Posted July 4, 2001 is it possible for a turbo to lock up after sitting for a long time?i got a deal on a early model 260 with a zx conversion (350.00) i had the car towed and when i went to start it it ran but it shut off quickly and the intake hose started to suck back and forth.i cleaned the plugs and added fresh fuel.the car ran rough then it started to bakfire and shaking the intake hose violently.any suggestions? Drax240z Posted July 8, 2001 Share Posted July 8, 2001 You don't need to pull the turbo right out to check it. Just remove the piping going from the air filter to the turbo, and reach your hand in while its on the car.
