what do I need to do to put in a 350 a V8 on my 84' 300zx

the only thing I know is that you can put a 350 in a 84' 300zx but I don't know any of the steps. If someone's done this around how much would something like this cost. And the last thing, will it really improve its preformance? if you know how much will it improve it?
