Guest Anonymous
...in about two weeks. I'm proud to say that stage 1 of my conversion is just about done! '83 ZXT motor '280 B' 5-speed 3.90 R-200 diff. I'm hoping that I can start toasting some Mustangs and Camaros with this setup. One question that I have for the turbo gurus out there is about the stock ECU. The donor car had an automatic transmission and, aside from the minor mechanical mods that were necessary, I am curious if anyone has any info as to the difference between the auto trans ECU and th 5-speed ECU. Would the fuel and timing curves be the same between the two? If they are different, can I expect a negative impact on performance? If so, how much? Your help is greatly appreciated. Drax240z
quote I'm hoping that I can start toasting some Mustangs and Camaros with this setup. Heh, dude they won't have a prayer! Aim higher. Can't really help you out much with the ECU, I avoided the stock stuff like the plague in my swap...

Guest Anonymous
Wow thanks, guys. That really made my day! I cant wait to get her out on the road! Here is the plan that I have outlined for the car... Phase 1 - Almost Done Engine Swap to L28ET Trans Swap to 280B Rear Swap to 3.90 R200 Phase 2 - Soon BOV, not sure which one yet, but recirc type, not venting. Energy Suspension Bushings, front and rear. Intercooler and plumbing, Volvo(already have). Phase 3 - uh, sometime after phase 2, but before next summer. High volume electric fuel pump JWR T3/T4 Hybrid Turbo (kit comes with bigger injectors) Nitto Drag Radials Aftermarket ECU, Not sure which type, SDS? Turbo Timer T5 trans upgrade At least that's the plan for now. I've got an invite to go out to a drag strip on Oct 20. Hopefully, I can post some times! I'm really anxious to show up some blue ovals and bow ties! They dont respect the Datsun!
