Guest Anonymous
Im looking into building a turbo L28, how much do JE pistons usually go for, and how strong is a non-turbo L28 block? I know the turbo blocks have siamese bores but is this really needed for a reliable 300-350hp motor? I know where there are plenty of n/a L28s I can get for pretty cheap and I'd like to use one of them if I can.
Guest Anonymous
Their really is not a turbo motor per say. What you need to look for is F54 satmped on the side of the block. this is the same block as the so-called turbo block w/ the simesed cylinders. these blocks can be found on late model N/A 280zx's. good luck w/the project
jeromio
JE pistons are gonna cost crazy amounts of dollars. You'd be much better off getting the complete turbo motor including the ECU. Otherwise, you're gonna spend alot of money on various things (P90 head, exhaust manifold, pistons, C-rods, etc).
