I didn't hear anything but my exhaust header leakes so badly where it joins the exhaust system that it could be happening a bit I suppose,although the chambers and pistons looked fine and showed no evidence of any problems. I am going to try a new gasket and coat it in copper spray coating and get some new Turbo head bolts and hopefully that will cure my blues. Thanks again for all the replies! TimZ Posted November 21, 2001 Share Posted November 21, 2001 Norm - maybe you already know this, but whenever I put in a new head gasket, I run the engine through a few heat cycles and retorque the head (after cooling overnight, of course). I usually do this two or three times, just because I'm paranoid. This should help alleviate any problems that might crop up from the gasket 'settling' and losing some of the original clamping force.
