hello everybody, I bought a big garrett turbo today at the jefferson swap meet today off a guy for a hundred bucks. I bought it not really knowing exactlly what it was, but it is pretty new and the blades move the wat they are supposed to, so i bought it and took it home. The first thing I noticed is there is no waste gate(duhhh)!but the good thing is that it has the same bolt pattern as the old one, so it bolts up to the exhaust manifold. the oil lines are the same too and the part that comes from the turbo to the intake(and the intercooler)is the same outer diamater. so what I need to knopw is there a external waste gate i can get to put on this thing??? or did i just waste a hundred bucks on something that will just sit on a shelf and collect dust??? OK now to the tech side of things, I am new to the turbo world and I dont know much about this stuff,trim,a/rwhatever, and so on. this turbo has a few numbers on it and i was wondering if anybody knew what they stand for. on the intake side it has the odvious garrett cast on the side and along with that it has A/R 50 and M27 this is all on the compressor side. On the backside of the compressor side there is a small tag, on the tag it says, cust P/N (customer) part number? 82850241, then AS P/N 465218-8 under that, S/N BC2896W and last TO4B, I think I know what that means but somebody please elaborate on this please. and last on the exhaust side it has cast into it 19A8 and 0-84 airsearch. thanks for the replys in advance and sorry this is so long, I just wanted to tell you guys as much as i could.. oh yeah the motor is a 82 turbo motor that im in the process of putting it in a 75z. thank you very much
