Guest Anonymous
I did a search and could not find an answer to this question. This is probably an easy one for you folks, but I am pretty new to the LT1. I have a 93 LT1/T56 from a Z-28 that I am swapping into a 88 Mazda RX-7. The Mazda has manual steering (now ) so I do not need the power steering. The question is: Is there a way to remove the power steering pump (at this poing I still want to retain the A/C compressor). For the looks of it this is not possible. If I cannot remove it I plan on connecting the high pressure side to the low pressure side, filling it up and leaving it alone. Thanks. Any help would be much appreciated. I asked this question on the TorqueCentral RX-7 swap board http://www.torquecentral.com/vb221/newreply.php?s=&action=newreply&threadid=2979
Guest Anonymous
To keep the A/C and do away with the power steering I dont think is possible with out going to a aftermarket company like street and performance.
