Guest Anonymous
I just installed a new cone filter and noticed a rumbling noise emitting from it at idle. After fishing around a while I found that the noise would stop if I pulled the vacuum hose to the secondary purge control valve/canister. I'm not entirely sure what the canister is doing, so I bypassed the nearby vacuum cut-off switch to allow the canister to continually flow even whenever the gas was applied (instead of just at idle), hence making the intake sound louder/meaner It possibly gave better acceleration to. Is it ok to bypass the switch so the valve is always operating, and does this actually give better acceleration? Thanks
