alright guys, my car is running rich! and I have a Holley 650 how do I tune it to make it not run so rich. I am guessing it's the carburetor but not positive. Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

You need to identify where its running rich to know which circuit to address. If its idle, then the idle screws will lean that down on each side of the front metering block. If its cruise/part throttle richness you'll need to change the jets which is easy. Remove the front four screws and on the bottom you'll see two jets with large slots to use a big screw driver on. Remove them, look at the number and get the next size or so smaller (I usually buy a range of them down or up from where I'm going, they're not terribly expensive). Put in the new jets, replace the bowl and four screws and your done. If the gaskets aren't the new blue reusable, its a good time to add them now. If its more than part throttle with a low vacuum load its probably the power valve. These are in the back metering block and are replaced depending on the inches of vacuum you want them to start working at. Secondary jetting? Same as the primary, change jets, or if it has it change metering plate if it has no back metering block.

Thats just a quick overview, but you need to identify which circuit so you don't fool with things you don't need to. Good luck with it.
