280Zone
I am sure it could be done given enough determination and money, my question would be why?
Guest Anonymous
GAZ.. Since I made the following rough measurements of my silver 78 Z , please do the same masurements of your ZX for comparison: middle of Hood measurement from windshield glass to the front tip of hood, 65 1/8 inch. Door width centered on door handle across, 43 5/16 inch. Front fender from pointed end near drip edge to head light extensions on front of fender, 59 1/2. Rear fender from door edge at door handle height to end rear fender 48 1/8 inches. Rear Hatch length top to bottom 42 3/8 " Rear hatch width from side to side, 41 1/2 Width of body mid section measured inside the car from side to side from across the door latchs to the outside door jambs of rear fenders, 63 inches. The critical fit area would be the sail panel of the hatch back roof line. I really could not measure this area to adequetely describe the reference points. This all could be done to mount the GTO body and a comparison of the measurements would give a rough estimate of the splicing shortening or widening of the fiberglaas panels. The rear hatch sail panel may cause special problems for a proper fit due to contours.. To keep successfully marketing the GTO kit one would assume eventually the kit would have to fit the 280 and and also the 300 ZX s Despite low production of the TomaHawk (less than 35) There are molds to make bodys for the 280 ZX and 300 Zx
