Guest Anonymous
RED GTO 250 Coupe item # 1872402365 with a remarkable opening bid of 10 Grand and... a 1974 260 Z convertible item #1872445579 in the unlikely Junk/parts car section with an opening bid of $3750.
TomoHawk
I couldn't find the RED GTO 250 Coupe using the Item #, but the second item# was OK. BTW, which steering wheel are you using in your GTO? I have a Grant classic #201. It feels funny because it's not a round cross-section & it has chromed spoke with reound holes in them. Guest Anonymous
Tom... the GTO was in the kit car section and must have been removed (apparently e Bay gets terrified of being sued for advertising at auction of a Ferarri replica being called the "F" word. As for steering wheels, I was leaning toward the old phenolic plastic wood grained 240 steering wheel. I have one without the horn pad. The pad cost a fortune. Grant has the classic series in wood grip and MSA has a classic style in the wood grip. I have picked up the wood grip ones at yard sales and swap meets. The Tomahawk gets a wood grip one that I restored with a little body putty with a good rubbing of "old english scratch remover" after paying a $1.00 for at a garage sale
TomoHawk
Man, Where do you find these deals!?? Around here, garage sale means old baby/kid clothes, some ashtrays, a coffee maker, hair dryer and a broken lawnmower! Ok, I once got a boom box for $1 (broken tape player, but radio was good) and a big coffee pot I use for camping, but never any good car stuff. Do you, like, go to EVERY garage sale or what? How about collecting all the stuff, then selling it on here, to people who would appreciate it?
Guest Anonymous
I am a quanity garage seller hitting them all in a grid fashion.I look at it like entertainment and recreation for my primal hunting insticts. I also have a clear understanding of the various neighborhoods and their character where I will find what I am looking for. I like "working" working class neighborhoods for tools and parts. White trash enclaves can also be rewarding since they shop at night in the better neighbor hoods. A few years back when the economy was good ...it was great. I also have no qualms (ruthless some say) offering half or even less of the asking price and always leave them laughing.
