Kimi
Can you guys help me to choose a front spoiler to my 240Z. I know that there is a lot of options and e.g. VB and MSA sells spoilers to Z-cars. The problem is that I have flares on the car. They look like the IMSA-flares that MSA sells, but they are much lower in the front than the IMSA-flares. Here is a link to a pick that shows the case: 240Z pic Is there any spoiler that could fit without having to cut the flares?
Kimi
The only air dam that will fit is the "BRE" front spoiler in the MSA-catalogue. But I don't like the looks of it. Well, I believe I have to change the front flares a little bit. After that it will be a lot easier to install an air dam.
DavyZ
Are you sure that it is the only one to fit? I bet the other ones will fit, but you may have to do a tiny bit of modification either to the spoiler or to the flares. Personally, I would buy a fiberglass spoiler that I think would look good on the car, AND THEN trim the spoiler to match (or enlarge it) the flares. That is the best and cheapest way to do it. Never touch the body when you can first modify a spoiler first. Just my opinion. Davy
Kimi
Thanks DavyZ You are correct about that it's easier to make the air dam to fit. Was looking at the flares last night and it would be much more complicated to shape them than the air dam. Will buy one and make it fit
