Guest Anonymous
Check out the new European Car magizine. Theres a very well done article on the Ferrari 250 GTO which is reaching it's Fourtith Birthday. Plenty of great pictures, and a lot of background info on the car. Guest Anonymous
Europeancarweb.com is where it will be be, but the Primidiea Publishing web sites are usually a week off of what's on the shelf. As soon as they post ti, I'll link it here. In the mean time, next time your out and about, it's the newest issue with an M5 going sideways. TomoHawk
This is a little off topic, but... what would be the correct steering wheel to use in a GTO conversion? I have a Grant Classic #201, which looks nice, but feels funny because it doesn't have a round cross-section.
SpeedRacer
THe correct wheel is a Nardi Anni 60 http://www.sportscar-parts.com/nardi.htm BTW I have a Nardi Classico 390 http://sportscar-parts.com/mivastore/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=www.sportscar-parts.com&Product_Code=nd5201393000 on my GTO but I'm considering switching to the Nardi Anni 60. Would you be interested in buying my old wheel? Oh yeah, it has the Nardi Anni 60 horn button assembly so you can use a Ferrari horn button. However, the Nardi horn button would be provided. Guest Pappy
Thanks for the info on what the correct wheel is speedracer. If you're looking at getting a nardi anni 60, http://www.nardiwheels.com/anni.html has them cheaper than the link you posted.
SpeedRacer
I just recently sold my Nardi Classico for $100 to another GTO builder and installed the Nardi Anni 60. It looks great and I'll have to update the pictures on this (and a few other) sites. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=236622
Guest Skillet
Speedracer, Where did you find the Ferrari horn emblem for your Nardi steering wheel? Thanks Chris
SpeedRacer
Skillet - I got it here http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/steeringwheels.htm Once in a while he has a repo but they are getting rare since they don't make them any more.
Guest cag4
Here's a link to a current ebay auction for a genuine 250 horn button: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34200&item=2405906842&rd=1 Good luck, Charles
Guest Skillet
Thanks for the info Charles and Richard. I looked at the Ferrari Part Sex Change.com , I mean Ferrari Parts Exchange.com site and found horn buttons for Momo wheels and it was in black. The link on ebay looks like a Nardi sytle (chrome on the outside) but the seller does not state the brand of steering wheel it goes to. Richard, was yours a special order or did you take the Momo one and modify it to fit in the OEM Nardi button? Thanks for your help guys. SpeedRacer
Sorry, search here for " Horn Button" http://www.allferrariparts.com/parts_list.cfm PS As usual with real Ferrari parts - you won't like the price.
SpeedRacer
BTW the Ferrai horn button is quite large and uses a different horn assy then the standard Nardi. It uses the lager Anni type http://www.sportscar-parts.com/nardi.htm horn instead of the smaller Classico type. It's weird because the Nardi Classico horn button is actually inserted inside the Anni type button. Another guy you can try is Jim Simpson http://www.simpsondesign.net/ and see if he can find you a used one.
