TomoHawk
What do you think about removing all those plastic panels and door panels and replacing them with formed aluminum sheets? I think it would give a nice clean, retro-look. Low maintenance & fire-proof, too.
Guest Anonymous
I have some fiberglass door panels which are recessed slightly from the outer edges of the door to accomodate the inside door frame. There is also a wrap around curve required for the window edge across the length of the door. Could be done but would require some sheet metal skills and fabrication
Guest Drewz
Fiberglass sounds interesting. Was it simple to make up??
Guest Anonymous
Drew, I bought them... basically a two part mold to make, The mold parting line will be placed along the length of the door glass to allow the panel to wrap around and cover the inside door frame edge. I would like to make fiberglass door panels. Some kind of design could be incorprated into the door panels beside a plain flat finish. They were designed to incorprate OEM arm rests and the door release mechanism
