Guest sb400z Posted March 3, 2003 Share Posted March 3, 2003 I have a 3.7 lsd from a z31 and need the mustache bar and halfshafts so I can get it in my 72. I don't have a lot of free time, plus, this is my daily driver, so I kind of need it all at once. Will be using adapters from Ross. Any info is appreciated. jeromio Posted March 3, 2003 Share Posted March 3, 2003 Unless you know something I don't know (which is not unlikely), I think you mean 280ZX turbo (or 280ZX 2+2) CV halfshafts. You should be able to pick up a set either from a local yard, your parts counter, or a place like ZBarn.com. The Z31 units are too long and I don't think there's any bolt on solution for adapting them to the S30 stub axles. I think Stony was doing something with 300ZX suspension/driveline bits. Guest sb400z Posted March 3, 2003 Share Posted March 3, 2003 I was working through a package with Ross and he says that he has adapters for both 280zxt and z31t halfshafts. I would also upgrade to the 280 hub and companion flange. I'll probably go with the 280zxt's since they are same length and probably easier to deal with (am I correct to assume this??) Now I just have to get the mustache bar and try to make the lsd cover clear my rear sway bar. This car is giving me a headache, but sure is fun.
