Vibration with New Flywheel?

And the verdict? Bingo. That was it - the fly...she's all better now. Whew! Not really enjoyable to drive before.

Fortunately, I never drove the car before with the lightweight flywheel, so I don't miss it...or even know what it was like. But I had the option to buy one new. The aluminum flys are pretty much limited to racing, so I went with the steel 30 lb'er.

Kind of cool...a neighbor's friend took interest in my motor yesterday. He knew a lot about them...a veteran mechanic, he is. So he started writing down numbers off the block and heads. He called me today with his findings. Turns out my block was made in either '62 or '63 (yes, a 327). The heads (made in '65-'69) are "202"...new to me, but he tells me that they are very high flowing. He says they'll take a lot more than the 650 cfm carb I have. Huh.

So the rear end's coming tomorrow...like I haven't had enough 'under the car' time already.

Thanks for all the input guys.
