Guest Anonymous
Water in Oil after day a track. I did not drive the car... so I only know the results. I did a presure check of the cooling system today. After about 7 lbs I could hear the air leaking into the crank case. I had my ear to the oil filler in the valve cover. Could I be luck and only blown an intake gasket. I will do a compression check tomorrow, but doubt that there is a leak in the cylinders since I can hear it leaking into the crank case. I plan to pull the intake look for leaks in the gasket and then replace them. Preasure check again and if it hold preasure drive it. If not I plan to pull the heads. Any other suggestion on how to trouble shoot this issue.

Guest jwelch
Greetings, NAPA sells a block/head crack dye that you put in your cooling system. It has a couple of different mixtures that go in the dye and tell you if the block is cracked or the heads are cracked. I think I paid $50 for it. I thought it was well worth the cost and has descent instructions. Hope this helps some Regards, John 77 280V8Z 66 383 Charger
