Guest Anonymous
Well, its officially the season of the $2.50 Gallon of 89 octane here in davis. My 280z has been getting terrible mileage-about 10-12mpg in town... This is terrible. it used to clear 22mpg in town. So this is whats been checked on it/done: 1. Air filter, fuel filter. 2. new wires. plugs recently done. 3. STP gas treatment 4. Throttle body sensor/wiring replaced. 5. AFM replaced with new unit, boots redone. Could a mis-adjusted throttle body sensor cause bad gas milage? How can i get the car to run slightly lean? How can i reach the old milage? What can i check? Thanks for the comments guys... Guest Anonymous
That big a drop calls for checking the bottom of the tank for a wet spot, watching the fuel pump for leak because of a seperating diaphram, checking all fuel lines both rubber and metal for wetness of gas and the filter too. Also lay out a sleeping bag back by the filler cap to discourage gas predators or, get a new locking gas cap.
Guest Anonymous
Hey guys listen up. The tbs sensor was not adjusted correctly. this was the cause of the clicking and the bad gas milage.
DavyZ
We went for pizza at Woodstock's in Davis after the Rio Vista meet. Glad to see there are Z car fans at my alma mater. Davy
