proxlamus© Posted April 9, 2003 Share Posted April 9, 2003 Well... I have searched the site and not alot of info on this. I will hopefully order a used SR20DET engine from an S13 180SX. But before I order it I have a few questions... Does anyone know or have any info on the ability to put in this type of engine into an 280Zx? Will the motor mounts line up ok? If not... would any other motor mounts help the engine go in.... like the z31 mounts for an Rb series engine? How would the speedometer and tachometer be calibrated? Does that mean that i would have to get an cluster from an 240sx or 180sx and modify it to fit in the 280Zx? Will the transmission bolt onto the chassis ok? Of course... what about the driveshaft..... would that match up with the SR20DET? and last of all..... do you think this will require major modification where I would have to take it to a shop..... or would I be able to take this on by my self and some friends?
